My Switch to kindle paperwhite from books.

   

So, I bought a Kindle Paperwhite viz. for all those who don’t know is an E-ink reader meant to read like a book and replacing it.

I researched about it and here are my views on the 2017 Kindle Paperwhite.

Pros:

        

1.           Vocabulary Builder: You can look up a word on kindle instantly while reading just by long pressing the word and it will show it’s definition,meaning,wikepedia,translation right away. That’s the beauty of the e-readers and also every word you long press is stored and noted and has it’s flashcards automatically build so as to enable you to master it.

2.  

         Word Wise: If you are a voracious reader like me you often might face this problem of looking up some new words from the dictionary. Word wise solves this problem by showing concise meanings of the words right away without you even requiring to long press anything.

3.     

      Kindle Unlimited: By paying a nominal fees each month you get access to over 1 million books on kindle and which is quiet economical for voracious readers.

4.    

       Highlights and Notes: All your highlights and notes are saved with you and properly organized so that you don’t have to flip pages to search for a highlight. You can just right away get it and thus is really helpful.

5.           Light weight and you can carry your whole library in your pocket all day as it is not that big and I carry it in my jeans pocket all day.

Cons:

1.           The feel and essence of a book can’t be replaced by any e-reader(but it’s okay and it serves it’s purpose)

2.           With a book you don’t have to worry about theft but with this you do have to.

3.           Physical damage is a real thing.

4.           Navigation of a real time book is irreplaceable.

5.           If you tend to get emotional with a physical book then e-readers are not for you.

So e-readers are for tech friendly , eco friendly people who tend to get things on the go.
